About the Author: Doug Callahan Photography by Michael Guimond
Doug was born and raised in a car-loving Detroit family. He started his first business--a landscaping service-- when he was twelve and built it until he became a designer for General Motors. From there he took on his first engineering role with an injection molding supplier for the auto industry. During his tenure at that firm, he helped grow the business from around $20 million in sales to $300 million and learned the foundations of the business "recipe" he shares in this book. In 2012, Doug took over operations of MMI Engineered Solutions, Inc. Using his unique management recipe, he has turned MMI into one of America's Fastest-Growing Companies (Inc. magazine). Doug has a BSME and an MBA from Lawrence Technological University and a JD from the University of Detroit.
